Looking for a fast, transparent, and reliable EV charger installation? At Evergy (part of LAMPS Electrical Wholesalers), we partner with Evie Energy to deliver UK installs by qualified electricians — no waiting weeks for quotes, no hidden extras, no pushy upselling. Just instant pricing, trusted products, and real aftercare.

Whether you’re fitting a charger at home, at work, or in a communal car park, our online survey gives you a live price based on your exact setup. Choose your charger, answer a few quick questions, and see your price update in real time. If your project is more complex, we’ll arrange a short phone call (not a drawn-out site visit) to finalise details.

We cover single-phase and three-phase, tethered and untethered models, plus solar-compatible units. Installation is carried out by Evie Energy’s experienced team, with aftercare available from Evergy or Evie once your charger is live.

Specialist expertise

  • End-to-end service: survey, design, installation, and maintenance from one team.
  • Knowledge of UK regulations for smooth, compliant installs.
  • Cross-skill in solar PV & battery storage for integrated setups.

Authoritative track record

  • EV projects delivered for public-sector clients and multi-site businesses.
  • Active across the UK; not limited to one city or county.

Trust & safety

  • Installations emphasise safety and quality from first survey to final sign-off.
  • Dedicated maintenance & servicing available after install.
Our quality assurance: all installs are commissioned, tested, and handed over with app setup and tariff guidance. If anything looks non-standard during your survey (e.g. long cable runs, pedestal mounting, or consumer-unit upgrades), we flag it up-front so pricing stays transparent.

How our instant EV charger installation price works

  1. Pick your charger — choose from our range of home and workplace EV chargers. Browse EV chargers
  2. Answer a few quick questions — where the charger will go, roughly how far from your meter/consumer unit, and a couple of simple site details.
  3. See your price update live — your EV charger installation price adjusts in real time as you answer.
  4. Complex setup? If anything needs a chat (e.g. pedestal mount or trenching), we’ll arrange a brief call — not a drawn-out site visit.

What’s included in our standard installation

Our installation package is designed to be seamless and clear. A typical home or small-business electric vehicle charger installation includes:

  • Mounting the charger on a suitable wall
  • Safe cable routing and clipping to regulations
  • Connection to a compliant consumer unit (fuse board)
  • Full electrical testing and certification
  • Wi-Fi setup support (where required for smart chargers)
  • Standard integration with charger apps (e.g. Ohme, Easee, Zappi)

As you complete the survey, your price reflects cable run length, location, and any other sensible variables — so you only pay for what you actually need.

Optional extras and custom installations

Not every install is the same — and that’s fine. Our system highlights additional requirements early, so there are no surprises later. Common customisations include:

  • Three-phase power for higher-capacity chargers
  • Groundworks or trenching to reach detached buildings or driveways
  • Pedestal installations for open areas or car parks
  • Consumer-unit upgrades or additional protection

If any of these apply, the online survey will flag them and guide you to book a quick call. We’ll gather what we need over the phone to keep things moving quickly.

Home vs workplace EV charger installations

Home EV charger installation

  • Ideal for driveways, garages, and private parking spaces
  • Choice of tethered (with cable) or untethered (Type 2 socket)
  • Load management to protect your property’s supply
  • Many models integrate with smart tariffs and solar PV

Workplace EV charger installation

  • Single or three-phase options for faster charging
  • Pedestals and multi-bay layouts available
  • Load balancing across charge points
  • Back-office/app integrations for users and cost centres

Pricing, zones, and mileage — UK-wide EV charger installations

We operate a transparent, zone-based model from our Thame (Oxfordshire) hub. Any mileage supplements and non-standard works are shown clearly at the end of the online survey before you book — no surprises.

Installation eligibility — what we need to know

To keep your EV charger installation smooth and accurate, we’ll ask a few key questions during the survey. Before you order, please ensure you can:

  • Confirm you’re the property owner or have written permission
  • Provide access on the installation day
  • Ensure clear access to your meter and consumer unit/distribution board
  • Supply photos if requested (helps us plan neatly)
  • Provide an active internet connection if required for smart features

DNO notifications/approvals: Most domestic installs require a post-install notification to your Distribution Network Operator; some upgrades (e.g. service head changes or three-phase works) may require prior approval. If this applies, we’ll advise next steps.

How it works — step by step

  1. Choose your charger — pick the model that suits your needs (Andersen currently excluded from instant pricing).
  2. Complete the online survey — answer a few quick questions about your property and power supply; your price updates live.
  3. Confirm your order — pay securely for a standard install; if anything needs a check, we’ll prompt you to arrange a quick call.
  4. We’ll arrange the install — Evie Energy reviews your responses and schedules a suitable date.
  5. Phone consultation (if required) — for trenching, pedestals, or solar integration, we’ll run through details by phone.
  6. Installation day — qualified electricians fit, test, and certify; we leave everything tidy.
  7. Aftercare — support from Evergy or Evie Energy whenever you need it.

EV charger installation — frequently asked questions

How long does installation take?
Most home installs are completed within a few hours. Complex jobs (e.g. trenching or pedestal work) may take longer — we’ll advise in advance.

Can you install without Wi-Fi?
Yes, but for smart features and app control, a reliable connection helps. We can recommend boosters if needed.

What’s the difference between tethered and untethered?
Tethered has a fixed cable for convenience. Untethered uses your own Type 2 cable and looks tidier when not in use.

Will my main fuse/consumer unit be okay?
We’ll check the basics in the survey. If an upgrade is recommended, we’ll flag it and provide options.

Do I need permission from my landlord or freeholder?
If you don’t own the property, please obtain written permission before booking. See our guide to installing chargers in rented homes.

Can I charge from solar panels?
Yes — choose a solar-compatible charger (e.g. Zappi) or add a CT clamp for solar awareness.

Do you cover business installations?
Absolutely. We handle workplace EV charger installations, including pedestals, multi-bay layouts, and load balancing.
